What application materials are needed?
All applications must be submitted through the Fulbright Online Application Portal by March 31, 2026. In the application process the applicants will be required to upload the following material that should be prepared in Word or PDF format.
The Online Application System will ask for your personal information, the name of your project, and a short abstract. In addition, you should be prepared to upload the following material:
- Education and experience (max. 2 pages)
- Publications of principal investigator (max. 2 pages)
- Financial support (max. 1 page)
- Research proposal: statement of the problem, its scientific significance, and your plan of procedure (max. 3 pages)
- Teaching proposal: statement of the problem, its scientific significance, and your plan of procedure (max. 3 pages)
- Teaching proposal: assessment plan (max. 1 page)
- Teaching proposal: collaborators (max. 1 page)
- Academic Leadership Statement (max. 1 page)
- List of references (max. 2 pages)
- Endorsement Page
- Letter of support

Selection procedure
All applications that meet the formal and substantive requirements, are complete and submitted on time to Fulbright Germany as instructed will be included in the selection process. A selection committee appointed by Fulbright Germany will decide on nomination for the award based on the submitted application materials.
Candidates will be selected in June 2026, and we will notify all applicants of the outcome by the end of June 2026.
