Our Fulbright Germany Community brings together individuals with diverse biographies. Through their study, teaching, and research experiences, Fulbrighters create lasting personal and professional connections. They implement the goals of the Fulbright program in their own career and life paths and remain active even after their fellowship. As ambassadors they promote cultural exchange and international dialogue.

The German Fulbright Alumni Association offers its members a mentoring program, regular local and national events, the annual FRANKly magazin and the Fulbright PULSE podcast. It promotes, promotes networking and social dialogue between Fulbrighters from all over the world, international scholars, experts, and activists.
Giving back plays an important role for the Fulbright community. Therefore the Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Deutsch-Amerikanischen Fulbright-Programms e.V. (VFF) promotes supports the Fulbright Program in Germany with volunteer commitment and additional financial resources.
As a community of Fulbright alumnae:i and institutional members, the VFF helps to increase the visibility of the Fulbright Program in Germany, to attract new target groups to the academic exchange, and to improve opportunities for those who are underrepresented in transatlantic exchange. More than 400,000 Fulbrighters from over 155 countries have participated in the Fulbright Program since its start in 1946. Among them are 62 Nobel laureates and 40 heads of state and government worldwide. The Fulbright Program exists in 160 countries. In about 50 countries, bilateral Fulbright commissions run their exchange programs with the United States. In more than 100 countries, the US embassies there administer the bilateral exchanges.
Through the global Fulbrighter App, Fulbright Germany alumnae:i can stay connected with other Fulbrighters worldwide and access valuable resources. The app offers networking opportunities, job listings, and information about events and programs. It is available to all Fulbright Program alumnae:i and provides direct access to the global Fulbright community.

Fulbright alumnae:i have achieved great recognition in a wide variety of areas of society. Quite a few Fulbrighters have been honored with the highest awards.
