Fulbright Germany Meet US Program 2023/24 reaches more than 12.000 students

Fulbright Germany’s Meet US Program continues to thrive, promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between American grantees and German schools. During the 2023/24 academic year, the program expanded its reach, offering the opportunity for more than 12.000 students across Germany to engage with 80 American Fulbright participants, bringing a wide range of cultural and educational experiences into more than 200 schools.

This year, the Meet US Program saw an increase in participation from Fulbright grantees, who visited schools across Germany, sharing their personal stories, perspectives on U.S. culture, and addressing common stereotypes. Through these visits, students had the unique opportunity to engage with native English speakers and explore topics related to American society, politics, and education. Teachers and students responded with enthusiasm, praising the value of these exchanges in enriching their learning experience.

The program also continued to streamline its organizational process. The Meet US website was updated, and schools were invited to register for participation through a user-friendly online platform.
